We held the photo shoot in Fuentes de Ropel, Zamora. One of our villages. We didn’t choose the location by chance. We were looking for:
the alpacas
the dovecotes
the old water channel
the authentic atmosphere
We wanted the photos not just to be pretty, but to tell a story. So that when you look at them in 20 years’ time, you’ll know exactly where they came from.

Because in a few years’ time, those photos will be worth more than anything else. Four people, a specific moment, a time that will never come again. That is what we always strive for in every First Communion photo shoot.

When it came to doing Diego’s First Communion photo shoot, we knew he’d be posing with his toy bull because, when he was younger, he used to say he wanted to be a bull. Yes, a bull – not a bullfighter.
